As we begin preparations for the 2026-27 basketball season, we are pleased to announce the dates for this year's officials' clinics. Additional details regarding registration, locations, schedules, and clinic content will be shared in the coming weeks.

Returning Officials

• Saturday, August 29, 2026: ABOA Super Weekend (Edmonton)

  Participation in the ABOA Super Weekend will satisfy your annual clinic requirement. This event provides an excellent opportunity to engage in advanced education and development alongside officials from across Alberta.

• Saturday, September 12, 2026: Returning Officials Clinic #1

• Saturday, September 19, 2026: Returning Officials Clinic #2

Reminder: All returning officials are required to attend one clinic prior to the start of the season. Attendance at the ABOA Super Weekend will count as attending a clinic to fulfill your membership requirement.

New Officials

• Saturday, September 5, 2026: New Officials Clinic

• Friday, September 11 & Saturday, September 12, 2026: New Officials Practical Sessions

  The New Officials Clinic and Practical Sessions are mandatory components of the training and certification process for new officials entering the association.
